1. What should I know when requesting a quote for a used robot?
The main things that you should know are the reach and payload needed as
well as the application type. Specifics like I/O requirements and
software can be determined at a later point.
2. Can you help me in determining the right robot for my application?
Yes, we look at a number of key elements to determine the best robot for
your application.
3. Are the robots being sold in an "as is" or refurbished condition?
Most of the robots we sell are sold in a refurbished condition and with
a warranty as we want to insure there aren't any problems on your plant
floor. On occasion we are asked to sell "as is" and we are not opposed
to selling certain ones that way but it's on a case by case basis.
4. What is typically done in the refurbishing process?
Different robots have different processes. Summarizing, there's a
detailed inspection of the controller, cables, connectors, robot arm and
grease/oil. Robot and controller are cleaned and then P.M.'d per OEM
specifications, backlash and repeatability tests are completed and the
robot is runoff under full load for a minimum of 6 hours. Robots are
typically painted and then prepared for shipping.
5. Can we come and inspect the robot during the runoff?
Absolutely, we encourage our customers to come for a visit and see how
their robot is being tested. We'll go over what we do and why we do it.
You'll also be invited to tour both ICR facilities which total 70,000
square feet! Once you complete the tour you will have an understanding
of what we can do that our competitors can't.
6. Can you refurbish an existing cell or just the robot?
ICR can refurbish cells as well as robots. We can upgrade the safety
level, robot, PLC and many other components.
7. Do you sell/ship internationally?
Yes, ICR has shipped to many different countries and continents.
8. Do you accept trade-ins?
Trade-ins and barters are done on a case by case basis. It's a good way
to lower your purchasing price but there are some robots that are just
too old for us to accept.
9. Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express
10. Who is responsible for freight costs?
In most cases the customer will be responsible for freight costs
including any costs related to international shipping. ICR will cover
costs related to the packaging of the robot unless it involves special
crating.
11. Where are you located?
ICR has two facilities, one located in Warren, Michigan and the other in
Roseville, Michigan. We also have a sales staff covering many area's of
the country.
12. What is your standard warranty?
Our standard warranty is 6 months on parts, however, we always try and
customize the warranty to best suit the customers needs.

Our capabilities and product offerings is what separate us from the
competition. ICR sells a variety of equipment, provides electronic and
mechanical repairs, training, field service, integration, preventative
maintenance and much more.

ICR has a dedicated training department that can customize a training
package for you. We can provide the training at either your facility or
in our well equipped training lab.

robots required, location and other key elements to determine if it's a
project that we can effectively quote.
